As you are no doubt aware, the situation with regard to the Coronavirus outbreak continues to evolve at pace. We continue to monitor the situation very carefully and are guided by the advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England. Currently, latest advice states that any visitor from a Category 1 area should self-isolate for 14 days, even if they are asymptomatic. Those visitors from a Category 2 area are advised to isolate if they present with symptoms. A list of these specified regions or countries can be found here.
We should also be mindful that Coronavirus is, in the majority of cases, a mild self-limiting illness especially in young people. It is important that your response is proportionate, whilst at the same time seeks to protect the vulnerable you may all have contact with.
Simple, preventative measures can include good hand washing, covering mouth and nose with tissues if sneezing, then putting the tissues in a bin and generally avoiding close contact with people who are unwell.
The Easter holidays are just a few weeks away, and again we would strongly advise that tenants do not travel to any region or country that is on either list issued by the World Health Organisation, and to regularly check the list prior to travelling.
The situation is evolving day by day, and our Management Teams are in regular communication to review the latest developments. We greatly appreciate your support in this matter and we will pass on any updated advice as and when it is issued.
